I started writing music when I was in middle school. But I never felt comfortable in my skin or with my voice. I hid behind a piano and then a guitar for quite some time. I started singing in front of people regularly in college leading worship. I didn’t sing in front of people in a non-worship setting until I was thirty years old.

I love singing and making music. It is my way of processing all the pain, grief, and joy that life brings. I share it with the world now to inspire and comfort people in their pain and grief and hope to bring joy to people through music.

Last summer (2024) I started sharing my music more publicly and in October 2024 released my first album: I’m From. For more information about why, see this blog post.

I play original songs, cover songs, hymns/praise songs, etc. My songs are about rural life, grief, faith, and love. Some are silly, some are serious.
